Bilateral high-level bodies: the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation between Ukraine and Guinea, whose first and only meeting took place in Conakry in March 2003. The Guinean side did not respond to no paragraph in the minutes of the Commission meeting.
The visit to Ukraine by the head of the Foreign Affairs Department of Guinea scheduled for July 2011 has been canceled and postponed to an indefinite date.
With regard to the difficult socio-political situation in Guinea, which developed in 2008-2009 and the significant reduction in bilateral economic cooperation, it was decided to transfer the Ukrainian Embassy from Guinea to Senegal in June 2012.
Ukraine acceded to Council Decision 2015/1923 of 26 October 2015 (extension of EU restrictive measures against individuals in Guinea until 27 October 2016).
In 2018, at the 17th IOF Summit ( October 07-12, Yerevan), a meeting between the Ukrainian and Guinean delegations was held.
The Honorary Consulate of Ukraine is based in Conakry.
During the vote of 27 March 2014, the Guinean delegation supported the draft resolution "Territorial Integrity of Ukraine" at the United Nations General Assembly.
The delegation of Guinea abstained from adopting the resolutions "Situation of human rights in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol (Ukraine)" in December 2017, in December 2018 (in December 2019 voted against), in December 2020 and in December 2021, as well as "The problem of the militarization of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol (Ukraine), as well as in the Black Sea and Azov regions " in December 2018, in December 2019 (did not participate in December 2020) and in December 2021.
In September 2020, the Guinean party formally agreed to support Ukraine's candidacy for UNESCO Executive Board for the period of 2021-2025.
In 2019, during the 207th (October) session of the UNESCO Executive Board, the Guinean delegation abstained from adopting the draft decision "Follow-up the situation in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol (Ukraine)". In 2021, during the 210th (February) session of the UNESCO Executive Board, the Guinean delegation voted against the mentioned draft decision.
