Ukrainian-Senegalese cooperation in the field of professional training is only beginning to develop.
Citizens of Senegal prefer French higher education institutions. Only in recent years, the number of Senegalese who have gone to Ukraine has relatively risen.
According to the Ukrainian State Center for International Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, in 2019-2020 academic year, 28 students from the Republic of Senegal studied at higher educational institutions of Ukraine.
On March 4, 2021, a Cooperation Agreement between the Higher School of Technology and Management (Dakar, Senegal) and the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (Kharkiv, Ukraine) was signed.
On December 14, 2017, in Dakar, a round table discussion on the topic “The Holodomor in Ukraine in 1932-1933: A Retrospective View and Lessons from History” took place.
It was organized by the Embassy of Ukraine in Senegal together with the Dakar Regional Branch of the Center for Diplomatic and Strategic Studies (CEDS, Paris). Students, experts and researchers in history and political relations, journalists, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Dakar etc. attended the abovementioned event.
The further discussion touched the issues of mass destruction of peoples, including those on the African continent and the need for their recognition and condemnation by the world community.
