The Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Senegal is a regional diplomatic mission of Ukraine established on June 1. 2012.

The first group of Ukrainian diplomats arrived to Dakar on May 31. 2012. The Embassy started its activities on August 1. 2012.

The first Ambassador of Ukraine to Senegal (with residence in Conakry) is Mr. Andriy Zayats nominated by the Decree of the President of Ukraine on June 17.2008. He presented his Credentials on December 29. 2009. Ambassador Zayats has ended his mission to Senegal on July 23.2013.

Oleksandr Ovcharov was appointed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in the Republic of Senegal by the presidential Decree №679/2013, December 10, 2013. Credentials were presented on the 6th, January 2015.
