On November 7th 2016, during the visit in New York to participate in a ministerial-level open debate on “Peace operations - facing asymmetric threats” Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Pavlo Klimkin met his Senegalese counterpart Mr. Mankeur Ndiaye.
The ministers discussed the perspectives of cooperation between both delegations within the Security Council and UN initiatives, including on the project of the resolution of Ukraine to the Third Committee of the United Nations General Assembly concerning "the Situation with human rights in Crimea and in the city of Sevastopol (Ukraine)".
Besides, the ministers paid a particular attention on the development of bilateral cooperation as well as the implementation of concrete measures for fulfillment in different spheres such as trade and economy. They also came to an agreement to hold political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of both countries in the nearest future.
