On December 19, 2019, a meeting between the Chargé d’Affaires of Ukraine in Senegal Anton Barabulia and the Secretary-General of the National Commission of Senegal for UNESCO Aliou Ly took place.
During the meeting, the Chargé d’Affaires expressed gratitude to the Senegalese party for supporting the inclusion of the Ukrainian nomination “Tradition of Kosiv painted ceramics” in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and congratulated Senegal on its re-election to the UNESCO Executive Board for the period of 2019-2023.
The parties discussed the prospects of further cooperation within UNESCO, in particular, Senegal’s support for the Ukrainian initiatives concerning the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country.
