During the meeting, which was held after the official ceremony for the head of Ukrainian diplomatic mission, the development of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Senegal in various fields, especially in economy, was discussed.

"Cooperation between our countries has great potential and good prospects for its implementation", said the president of Senegal and wished to his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko as well as all the people of Ukraine peace, harmony and prosperity. Mr. Sall also expressed his confidence in the efficient and effective activity of the new Ambassador of Ukraine to the benefit of both countries, and he stressed that "Ukraine should become a reliable partner of Senegal and can always count on the support of his African friend".
