It is symbolic that the meeting of the Ukrainian Ambassador with the Head of the Senegalese diplomacy took place on the eve of the 25^th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Senegal. On this occasion the most sincere congratulations and best wishes of the fruitful co-operation in the interests of the Ukrainian and Senegalese peoples were transmitted to Mr. S.Kaba.

While the friendly and constructive conversation the issues of the mutual support within the international organizations some aspects of the bilateral co-operation in the political, economic and military-technical spheres were discussed. The parties agreed on the need to intensify the political dialogue in order to realize the existing potential for the development of the economic relations, including those in the military-technical sphere.

Mr. O.Ovcharov stated that Senegal had been and remained Ukraine’s most promising partner in West Africa and was the real gateway for promoting our country’s economic interests in this region.

In his turn, Mr. S.Kaba emphasized that Senegal regarded Ukraine as a friendly country and confirmed the readiness for the effective co-operation both within the framework of international organizations and at the bilateral level.
